Another Saturday Night

Spent about half an hour trying to think of something to do tonight with Tran. It sad how it's been so long since we've had free time, when we finally do have it we don't know how to use it. What do people our age do on Saturday nights?? You know, besides the getting drunk.

'Toy Story 2 way Okay'-Demetri Martin

True, and Toy Story 3 was awesome. I laughed and cried. And I never cry to movies. So glad I had my 3D glasses on to hide it. It still makes me feel kind of sad thinking about it.

So, a certain someone on Formspring complained about me not having a 'woohoo exams are over!' blog: Holidaaay, celebraaaate it will be so nice. And it is. So yeah, after a crappy and long exam I went with the ol' uni group to watch Toy Story 3 in 3D. Then to Chaddy to meet with 'the girls.'  Had the best dinner ever. Then home and had the best sleep of my life. The next day was filled with shopping goodness. And those are my holidays thus far...

And you never write me letters

What's My Age Again?

There are so many songs out there titled 'Seventeen' or 'Sixteen' with the artists recalling their crazy shenanigans, teen angst, being carefree and puppy love or whatever. Yeah, you know what my song would be if I wrote a song about my teenage years?

Was doing VCE
study study study study
but not really studying more like
thinking about studying and worrying that I'm not studying

Wish I were a white girl
And not have my parents ask me why I'm not studying all the time
Everyone's going to a party and I'm at home
watching the television and eating fruit mum cut up for me
watching teens not worry about homework only stressing about their love lives

Now I'm going to the fridge because there's nothing else to do
oh wait, there isn't even anything to eat
What sort of house doesn't have eggs in their refrigerator?
Those were the best days of my life

Music

People warned me about this. After seeing Tegan & Sara in concert, there has a been a hole eating me up. I ache, I crave to feel this unexplainable feeling that I had when I was there. Music is like falling in love for the first time. The feeling you experience is intoxicating and addictive, you want to know everything there is to know about your new love. It's constantly on your mind and sometimes it's all you ever want to talk about. And when it's taken away from you it feels like life kind of sucks a little more. With music you are not alone, your world makes sense, yet the rest of the world doesn't matter.

Anyway I'll get to the punchline of why I'm writing this blog. I'm going to see Nouvelle Vague and Muse. Two very different types of music yet wonderful and brilliant in their own way. If there were specific words that can describe how happy and excited I am right now I'd yell them down the streets. Thinking about it gets my heart racing. It's like an adrenaline rush and I'm loving it!

P.S. OH MY GOSS OH MY GOSS OH MY GOSS OH MY GOSS OH MY GOSS OH MY GOSS!
